Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey Analytics Conference

Our partners, the Columbus Blue Jackets, will be hosting a Hockey Analytics Conference (CBJHAC) on February 8th and 9th, 2020. This two-day conference will showcase state-of-the-art research happening in the hockey analytics community and explore the use of data-driven analysis being done by industry professionals today.

We’ll also be providing event data at the conference to fuel the contest. This marks the first time our analytics will be made available in a public capacity.

Day 1

The first day of the conference will feature presentations from some of the brightest minds in hockey analytics and industry professionals as well as discussions with NHL executives who are applying data-driven research in the game today.

CBJHAC will be open to all regardless of your level of experience with analytics or degree of involvement in hockey, anyone interested in learning more about statistical analysis in the sport is welcome to attend.

Day 2

The second day of the conference will feature a data contest where participants will be asked to tackle a hockey-related problem using data provided by Sportlogiq.

Our goal is to provide an opportunity for the most creative minds in the hockey analytics community to present their work and engage in discussions with executives from multiple NHL teams, including the Columbus Blue Jackets, Colorado Avalanche, New York Rangers, NHL Seattle, St. Louis Blues and Vegas Golden Knights.

Be sure to submit your abstract before December 31st, 2019 for your chance to participate.
