Sportlogiq Media Gears Up for 2021
The NHL is set to return in January and we couldn’t be more excited! We wanted to take this opportunity to share what the Sportlogiq media team will be up to in 2021, for the NHL and beyond.
NHL 2021
The Sportlogiq media team brought hockey analysis to the next level during the NHL’s restart last summer and through the fall and are looking forward to providing our partners such as Sportsnet’s Hockey Night in Canada, TSN, RDS, MSG Networks (Sabres), and the NHL Network with unmatched analysis in 2021.
With a focus on accessible data-driven storytelling, we prepare stories, animations, and graphics for our partners’ on-air analysis. We also create graphics for their digital and social media channels as well as offer interactive research support for our partners to help them tell the best possible stories.
IIHF World Junior Championship 2021
For the third straight year, we’ll be working with TSN to cover the IIHF World Junior Championship. As in years past, we will provide analytics to help create stories and analysis. We will also continue to provide in-game content including quality shot graphics and much more.
Here’s an example of work done during last year’s tournament
The Professional Women’s Hockey Player Association (PWHPA)
Last week we announced our partnership with the PWHPA as their official data provider, which will give us the deepest set of metrics available for the best in the women’s game. For media, we will have access to historical and current PWHPA game statistics, team and player profiles, metrics, and access to video clips and we’ll use this information to build stories, graphics, and highlight performances for partners and the league itself.
