Upcoming Events - March

WACV 2020

The Sportlogiq research team, SLiQ Labs, will be attending and presenting three papers at the 2020 Winter Conference on Applications of Computer Vision from March 1st to 5th in Colorado. WACV is the premier event on applications of computer vision. 

One of the papers describes our most recent approach for solving self-camera calibration for sports field registration. This work was done in collaboration with Dr. Kwang Moo Yi from the University of Victoria. The other two papers describe our methods for person re-identification in the tracking systems in collaboration with Prof. Eric Granger at Ecole de Technologie Supérieure and Prof. Alex Wong at the University of Waterloo. 

 

MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference 

Catch up with Sportlogiq and SLiQ Labs team members at the 2020 edition of MIT’s Sloan Sports Analytics Conference in Boston from March 6th to 7th. The conference provides a forum for industry professionals to discuss the increasing role of analytics in the sports industry.

Don’t miss Machine Learning Researcher, Michael Horton’s, presentation on his “Learning Feature Representations from Football Tracking” paper at the conference on Thursday, March 5th at 12:45pm.
